Just Another Delusion

blood is fullest
when spread across your
favorite set of lips.
index fingers
pink as the latest explosion
touch heavily ringing ears
and answer a faint hello.
but who is there
to listen to your everlasting worries?
feet are unusually barefoot
today
and they wear their own sweaters
called thick socks.
swearing that the furniture
was skipping across the floor
but it was just the neighbors
next door
moving to a different part
of the bustling city.
